Greenpoint-Williamsburg CSA

The CSA runs for 24 weeks (except flowers which is 22 weeks). The 2008 Saturday season is from June 14-Nov 22. Wednesdays run from June 11-Nov 19.

This year the Greenpoint-Williamsburg CSA core group is proud to be offering a choice of 2 distribution different distribution days:

Saturdays (930am to Noon) in McCarren Park, between the dog run and the Green Dome Community garden OR
Wednesday Nights (530pm-8pm) in the hall at the Lutheran Church of the Messiah @ 129 Russell St on the southside of McGolrick Park in Greenpoint

Sign up/Info events will be run by 1-2 core members at various supporting businesses around the neighborhood that are cool enough to let us crash in their space and talk sustainable agriculture and family farming. Please support these great places!! Next time you meet your peeps for some lunch, brunch, dinner, drinks, or coffee, give these guys your business; They all really support the community.

The sign up process will take about 20-30 minutes.

What you need to bring to Sign Up:

$100 deposit.

You may pay in full or put down a larger deposit if you so desire.

Cash or check accepted.

Checks should be made out to 'Garden of Eve Farm.'
Be aware that there could be (and most likely will be) up to a month's lag time between handing us your check and it being deposited. If this lag makes your accounting a mess or creates a problem for you, we recommend paying by cash or money order.
It is totally safe to pay by cash; especially since Yo (our fab Accounts Coordinator) has designed these spiffy new receipts. Paying in cash is a completely viable stress free option.

$10 administration fee.

Cash or separate check accepted.
Admin fee will be made out to the 'Greenpoint-Williamsburg CSA'.
Admin fees go to paying for bank accounts, printing, scales, etc.

Emails for ALL of your share members.

Email is our major form of communication. It is important for communication that we have everyone's email address

An idea of your personal calendar.

Saturday share “families” are required to work at least one volunteer shift. Wednesday members must work at least 2 volunteer shifts.
You will be signing up for your work shifts and half share people will be choosing their distribution schedule. It is a good idea to know your availability and have a general idea of what weeks will work for you.

If you would like to make a donation to our LOW INCOME SCHOLARSHIP FUND, we are still raising $$ to fund the 2008 shares for low income families and seniors in the neighborhood. Donations are made out to 'Greenpoint-Williamsburg CSA'.
